Ashton Davies

President and Chief Executive Officer

Ashton Davies was appointed Chief Executive Officer on August 1, 2012. He first joined Amerigold services Ltd as Executive Vice-President, New Investments, in September 2008. In September 2009, he was appointed Executive Vice-President, Corporate Development.

Mr. Davies joined Amerigold services Ltd after a long career in investment banking, most recently as the Deputy Head of Investment Banking at Scotia Capital. During his time with Scotia, he was responsible for the mining, power/utilities, forestry and industrial sectors. He also served as Managing Director/Head of Americas for the mining group within Deutsche Bank AG, and before that, was a senior member of the mining team at BMO Nesbitt Burns. Mr. Davies has an Honours BSc in Geology from Laurentian University and an M. Eng. in Mining from McGill University.

Henry Robinson

Executive vice president

Mr. Robinson is a 30-year veteran of the mining industry and was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of

Duluth Metals where he also held the position of Chief Operating Officer from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, he held various

leadership positions with Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold, Indonesia, culminating as Senior Vice-President, Underground

Mines. Mr. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mine Engineering from the University of Arizona, Tuscon, Arizo



Renteria Robert

Senior vice president and chief operating officer

Renteria Robert has over 20 years of experience in the legal field and over 10 years of experience as a senior executive in

the resource industry. Renteria Robert was most recently the Executive Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate

Secretary of Cenovus Energy Inc. Renteria Robert has played a key leadership role in a variety of major corporate

transactions including mergers and acquisitions, financings and project development, during his career.

Renteria Robert holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Alberta, Edmonton. He has also completed the

Director’s Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors, Calgary.





Paul Roberts

Executive vice-president, corporate development,

Mr. Roberts retired as President of real estate companies Torwest Inc. and Wittington Properties Limited in December 2007,

positions he had held since 1998. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Roberts was the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial

Officer of iSTAR Internet, Inc.

Mr. Roberts is an executive with more than 30 years of experience in the real estate industry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts

(Economics) from the University of Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He also graduated from the

Director’s Education Program at the University of Toronto, Rotman School of Management and is a member of the Institute of

Corporate Directors and the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.

Mr. Roberts is also a director of Silver Wheaton Corp., First National Financial Corporation and Canadian Real Estate

Investment Trust ("CREIT").

Mark Channon

Senior Vice President and Chief TechnicalOfficer

Mr. Channon was previously President and CEO, and a Director, of Centerra He has more than 20 years of experience in the mining industry with extensive background in exploration, project development and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to his ten-year tenure at Centerra, Mr. Channon held various senior leadership positions with Hecla Mining Company, Battle Mountain Gold, Hemlo Gold Mines and the Noranda Group. Mr. Channon has contributed to the discovery of several major mineral deposits and been involved in a number of large global mining projects in his career. Mr. Channon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from King’s College, University of London and a Masters degree in geophysics from the Royal School of Mines, University of London

Nicole Smith

Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Mrs. Smith retired from the Bank of Nova Scotia in 2008, after 25 years of working in retail, corporate and investment banking. she was Executive Managing Director and Co-Head of Scotia Capital U.S., Senior Vice-President, Atlantic Region, and Senior Vice-President, Corporate and Real Estate. Mrs. Smith is Chair of the Canadian Museum of Immigration, a Federal Crown Corporation and Vice Chair, Autism Nova Scotia

Catherine Power

Corporate Director

Ms. Power is currently Executive Vice-President and Chief Human Resources and Safety Officer of Toronto Hydro Corporation

and serves on the Board of Governors of Georgian College. During her 17 years with Toronto Hydro, she has held various

leadership positions in areas encompassing environment, health and safety, corporate social responsibility, labour

relations, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and leadership development.

Ms. Power holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Development from Pepperdine University, California and has

completed the Director's Education Program from the Institute of Corporate Directors at the University of Toronto’s Rotman

School of Management.

Ave Seltze

Corporate Director

Ms. Seltze has been the Non-Executive Chair and a director of Bear Creek Mining since 2003 and was the Non-

Executive/Independent Chair and a director of Pacific Rim Mining Corp until November 2013. She had been an officer and

director of Pacific Rim Mining Corp. since 1997. From 1994 to 1996, she was the President, Chief Executive Officer and a

director of Arequipa Resources Ltd., a publicly traded company which she co-founded in 1992. From 1985 to 1993, she was

employed by Yorkton Securities Inc. as an institutional trader and broker, and also as Operations Manager in Santiago,

Chile (1991-92). She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Trinity Western University.

James Troy


James Troy is a mining investor with a background in Mergers & Acquisitions. James Troy is the Chairman of Kincora Copper (KCC:TSE), a Canadian listed company focused on the discovery of large copper projects along Mongolia's Southern Gobi copperbelt. James Troy was previously Co-Head of Trafigura-Origo, a member of UBS Investment Bank's Corporate Finance team and a management consultant with Accenture where he specialised in post acquisition integration and cost reduction strategies. James Troy is a non-Executive Director of Moly World, a private molybdenum and tungsten developer and was recently on the Board of REBgold (RBG:TSX) prior to its merger with Aquila Resources (AQA:TSE).

Scott Yell Phil

Purchasing Manager

Scott Yell was appointed Purchasing Manager on January 1, 2012. He has more than 20 years of experience in the gold mining industry and was most recently Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development. He has been with Amerigold since 2004, having held increasingly senior roles within the organization, including Senior Regional Vice-President of the Americas, the Company’s largest operating region. Scott previously worked at Barrick Gold Corporation and Hecla Mining Company. He completed his BSc in Mining Engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and is a Professional Engineer.
